2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The information we collect depends on how you interact with FioNova.

ACCOUNT AND CONTACT INFORMATION

When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Account identifiers
• Authentication information
• Account and subscription status
• Communication preferences

INFORMATION YOU CHOOSE TO PROVIDE

FioNova includes interactive self-reflection and personal-growth experiences. You may voluntarily provide information about your thoughts, emotions, experiences, goals, challenges, relationships, habits, personal history, or other areas of your life.

This may include information entered through features such as:

• Conversations with Ellie
• The Unsaid
• Emotional X-Ray
• Daily Battle Plan
• Future Self Engine
• Purpose Engine
• Daily Journal
• Companion Memory
• Progress tools and dashboards
• Other current or future FioNova experiences

Because FioNova is designed for personal reflection, some information you voluntarily provide may be personal or sensitive in nature.

You control what information you choose to provide to FioNova.

GENERATED AND DERIVED INFORMATION

FioNova may process information you provide to generate personalized responses, summaries, insights, plans, recommendations, prompts, progress information, or other outputs.

For example, information may be used to maintain Companion Memory or provide continuity between sessions so that you do not necessarily need to start over each time you use the Service.

USAGE, ANALYTICS, AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION

When you use the Service, we or our service providers may automatically receive or process technical and usage information such as:

• Device and browser information
• Internet Protocol (IP) address or information derived from it
• Approximate geographic information, such as general city, region, or country
• Log information
• Pages or features accessed
• Dates and times of access
• Session and interaction information
• Referring pages or websites
• Traffic source and campaign information
• Error and performance information
• Cookie identifiers and similar technologies where applicable
• Events relating to use of the Service and progression through the FioNova experience

We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, understand, and improve the Service.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe or another disclosed payment processor.

FioNova does not need to receive or store your complete payment-card number in order to operate its subscription service when payment information is collected directly by the payment processor.

We may receive transaction-related information such as:

• Subscription status
• Customer or transaction identifiers
• Payment status
• Purchase and renewal dates
• Subscription plan
• Cancellation status
• Limited billing information made available by the payment processor

Payment information handled directly by Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own privacy practices.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use information collected through FioNova to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Authenticate users
• Provide FioNova's features and services
• Generate personalized experiences and responses
• Provide continuity through Companion Memory
• Generate plans, reflections, summaries, recommendations, and other outputs
• Maintain your progress and history
• Process subscriptions and determine subscription status
• Provide customer support
• Send transactional and service-related emails
• Send permitted follow-up or marketing communications
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats
• Diagnose technical problems
• Maintain and improve the Service
• Measure website and application usage
• Understand how users move through the FioNova experience
• Measure account registrations, onboarding progress, paywall activity, checkout initiation, and subscription conversions
• Understand the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and traffic sources
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
• Enforce our Terms of Service
• Protect FioNova, our users, and others

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information for analytics, product improvement, and business purposes where the information can no longer reasonably identify you.

4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROCESSING

FioNova uses artificial intelligence to power Ellie and other personalized features.

When you interact with AI-powered portions of FioNova, information relevant to your request may be processed through FioNova's AI infrastructure and service providers as necessary to generate a response or provide the requested functionality.

Depending on the feature, this may include:

• Your prompts or responses
• Relevant conversation context
• Relevant Companion Memory information
• Information necessary to personalize a response
• Instructions provided by FioNova to the AI system

FioNova seeks to limit AI processing to information reasonably necessary to provide the applicable feature.

AI-generated responses are automated outputs and may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or otherwise incorrect. Users should not rely upon AI-generated content as professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

FioNova is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

5. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND THIRD PARTIES

We use third-party service providers to operate portions of FioNova.

These may include providers that assist with:

• Artificial intelligence processing and infrastructure
• Hosting and application infrastructure
• Databases and data storage
• Payment processing
• Email delivery
• Authentication
• Security and fraud prevention
• Performance monitoring
• Analytics and measurement

Known providers used in FioNova's current infrastructure include services associated with Emergent, Stripe, Resend, and Google Analytics, together with the AI/LLM infrastructure configured for FioNova.

These providers may process information to the extent necessary to perform services for FioNova or as otherwise described by their applicable agreements, terms, and privacy practices.

As FioNova evolves, service providers may change. We may update this Privacy Policy when material changes affect how personal information is processed.

6. GOOGLE ANALYTICS, COOKIES, AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4

FioNova currently uses Google Analytics 4 (“Google Analytics” or “GA4”), a web analytics service provided by Google, to help us understand how visitors and users interact with GetFionova.com and Fionova.app.

Google Analytics uses tags, cookies, identifiers, and related technologies to collect and process information about use of websites and applications.

Depending on your device, browser, settings, location, and the configuration of Google Analytics, analytics information may include information such as:

• Pages viewed
• Session information
• Browser and device information
• Approximate geographic information
• Referring website or traffic source
• Campaign and attribution information
• Interactions with FioNova pages and features
• Pseudonymous or random identifiers
• Events relating to progression through the FioNova experience

Google Analytics may process IP addresses during data collection for purposes including providing the service, security, traffic measurement, and deriving approximate geographic information. According to Google's documentation, Google Analytics does not log or store individual raw IP addresses as part of standard GA4 reporting.

FioNova uses the same Google Analytics property across GetFionova.com and Fionova.app and has implemented cross-domain measurement to help maintain attribution as a visitor moves from the FioNova marketing website to the FioNova web application.

FIONOVA FUNNEL MEASUREMENT

FioNova uses analytics events to understand how people progress through the Service.

These events may measure activities such as:

• Visiting GetFionova.com
• Clicking a FioNova call-to-action
• Moving from GetFionova.com to Fionova.app
• Creating an account
• Beginning the FioNova onboarding experience
• Completing onboarding steps
• Completing onboarding
• Viewing the FioNova paywall
• Beginning checkout
• Completing a subscription purchase

Analytics events may include non-sensitive information necessary to understand the event, such as the applicable page, step name or number, general button or link label, destination, subscription price, transaction identifier, or similar measurement information.

FioNova does not intentionally send the substance of your private FioNova content to Google Analytics.

In particular, our current analytics implementation is designed not to send Google Analytics:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Ellie conversation content
• The Unsaid responses
• Emotional X-Ray responses
• Daily Battle Plan content
• Future Self responses
• Purpose Engine responses
• Journal entries
• Companion Memory content
• Private onboarding answers
• Other personal or sensitive wellness responses you provide to FioNova

FioNova does not currently use Google Analytics enhanced conversions or Google Analytics user-provided-data collection to send names, email addresses, or similar user-provided identifying information to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics data is used to help FioNova understand Service usage, identify where users encounter problems, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and acquisition channels, understand conversion performance, and improve the Service.

Google's processing of information through Google Analytics is also governed by Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

FioNova and its service providers may use cookies, browser storage, tags, and similar technologies for purposes including:

• Maintaining sessions
• Authentication
• Security
• Remembering preferences
• Measuring site and feature usage
• Understanding traffic sources
• Measuring conversions
• Diagnosing errors
• Improving the Service

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish users and sessions and measure interactions with the Service.

Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Restricting certain cookies or browser-storage technologies may affect analytics measurement and, depending on the technology involved, may affect certain Service functionality.

Google also provides tools and settings that may allow users to control or limit certain Google Analytics data collection.

Where required by applicable law, FioNova will provide appropriate notice, consent mechanisms, or choices regarding non-essential cookies and tracking technologies.

FUTURE ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES

FioNova may in the future implement additional analytics or advertising measurement technologies, including services provided by Meta, TikTok, Google, or other providers.

If we materially change how personal information is collected, used, or shared through these technologies, we may update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notices or choices where required by applicable law.

7. EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

FioNova may use your email address to send communications such as:

• Account-related messages
• Welcome emails
• Subscription confirmations
• Billing-related information
• Important Service notices
• Follow-up messages
• Product information
• Promotional communications where permitted

Email delivery and contact management may be provided through third-party services such as Resend.

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those communications where applicable.

Certain transactional or account-related communications may still be sent when necessary to operate your account or subscription.

8. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not disclose personal information simply because a user has chosen to share something privately within FioNova.

We may disclose or permit processing of information in limited circumstances, including:

SERVICE PROVIDERS

Information may be processed by vendors that help us operate FioNova, including providers of hosting, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, and related services.

ANALYTICS PROVIDERS

Usage and technical information may be processed by analytics providers such as Google Analytics as described in Section 6. FioNova's current GA4 implementation is designed to exclude the substance of private wellness responses and other sensitive user-generated FioNova content from analytics events.

AT YOUR DIRECTION

We may disclose information when you specifically request or authorize us to do so.

LEGAL OBLIGATIONS

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, or valid governmental requests.

SAFETY AND PROTECTION

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, abuse, threats, violations of our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FioNova, our users, or others, subject to applicable law.

BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS

If FioNova undergoes a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

9. DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including maintaining account continuity and Companion Memory.

Retention periods may depend on:

• Whether your account remains active
• The type of information
• The reason the information was collected
• Security and fraud-prevention needs
• Legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations
• Requests to delete information

Information processed through third-party providers, including Google Analytics, may also be retained according to the applicable provider's settings, contractual terms, and retention practices.

Canceling a paid FioNova subscription does NOT automatically delete your FioNova account or personal history.

This separation allows a former subscriber to retain their FioNova history and continuity if they later return.

You may separately request deletion of your account as described below.

10. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION

You may request deletion of your FioNova account and associated personal information by contacting:

Please contact us using the email address associated with your FioNova account whenever possible.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before processing a request.

When a valid deletion request is completed, FioNova will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account where reasonably possible, subject to information we are permitted or required to retain.

This may include user content and account information associated with features such as Ellie conversations, Companion Memory, journal content, personal reflections, plans, progress information, and other FioNova content.

Certain limited information may be retained when reasonably necessary for purposes such as:

• Financial and transaction records
• Tax and accounting requirements
• Fraud prevention
• Security
• Resolving disputes
• Enforcing agreements
• Establishing that a deletion request was fulfilled
• Other legal obligations

Information maintained in backups may remain for a limited period until those backups are overwritten or deleted through normal system processes.

Certain information processed by third-party service providers may be subject to those providers' deletion processes, technical limitations, and legally permitted retention.

11. ACCESS, CORRECTION, AND DATA REQUESTS

You may contact us at support@getfionova.com to request assistance with:

• Accessing personal information associated with your account
• Correcting inaccurate account information
• Requesting deletion
• Requesting a copy of certain personal information
• Asking questions about our privacy practices

Requests may be subject to identity verification, technical limitations, legal exceptions, and applicable law.

12. SECURITY

FioNova uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no online service, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should protect their login credentials and notify us if they believe their account has been accessed without authorization.

13. ADULTS ONLY

FioNova is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older.

The Service is not intended for children or minors under 18.

If we learn that information has been collected from an individual under 18 in violation of this requirement, we may take appropriate steps to delete the information and terminate the account.

14. SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Because FioNova supports personal reflection and wellness, users may voluntarily provide information they consider sensitive.

You are not required to provide information that you do not wish to share.

FioNova's analytics implementation is designed to keep the substance of sensitive personal reflections, wellness responses, journal entries, Ellie conversations, and similar private user-generated content out of Google Analytics.

FioNova should not be used as a substitute for emergency services or professional medical or mental-health care.

15. CRISIS AND EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

FioNova is not an emergency monitoring service or crisis-response service.

The Service should not be relied upon to detect, monitor, report, or respond to emergencies.

If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

In the United States, call 911 for an emergency. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or a mental-health crisis, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Users outside the United States should contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service in their location.

16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy as FioNova evolves.

When material changes are made, we may provide notice through the Service, email, or another appropriate method.

The “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised.

Continued use of FioNova following an updated policy is subject to applicable law.
